Time in Xxxxxx Care. If the child has a permanency planning goal of return to parents or relatives, the Department is responsible for reviewing the child’s placement and court-related information in CONNECTIONS and/or CCRS to take required actions under federal and New York State statute and regulation, including, but not limited to, those requirements relating to permanency planning and/or the filing of a petition to terminate parental rights, as set forth in section 384-b(3)(l) of the Social Services Law and 18 NYCRR 430.12(e) and 431.9. The Department will notify the Agency to review the case to determine if preventive services could aid in the discharge of the child and to make a recommendation to the Department. If preventive services are authorized by the Department and cannot be provided by the Agency, the Department will notify the Agency regarding which specific agency is to provide such services.
