Time Limit Extensions and Exceptions. a) Time limits can be extended by mutual agreement between the Union and the employer. b) If criminal charges have been filed against an employee, the time limit will not begin until all criminal proceedings are complete and the employer serves official notice in writing to the employee of an investigation. c) Criminal investigations, as used in this section, will be interpreted as any action that could result in the filing of criminal charges.
