Time Limit for Meeting and Decision. The official with whom the grievance is initially filed and the official at the next level with whom the appeal is filed must meet with the aggrieved party within five (5) school days after receiving the statement of grievance or appeal in an effort to reach a satisfactory settlement. Such official must inform the alleged grievant and the Association of his decision. If a satisfactory solution has not been reached, the grievance may be referred in writing to the School Committee subject to the conditions of Section 2, sub section 3. The School Committee shall meet with the aggrieved party within ten (10) school days after receiving his appeal and shall inform him of its decision within ten (I0) school days of such meeting. Any part of these time limits which may extend in a particular case beyond the close of school in June shall thereafter be computed in calendar days at double the number of school days above prescribed.
