Time Off for Union Educational Functions. A Union Xxxxxxx that has been duly appointed by the Business Manager of the Local Union desiring to attend a Union related function that is scheduled during work hours or requires travel time may be permitted one (1) day of paid leave per year to attend the function with prior approval of his designated supervisor. Any additional days requested and approved will be charged to accrued vacation or absent without pay. All costs incurred by the employee for the function will be paid by the employee.
