Timely Action by Parties. When a grievance has been filed by an employee, the grievant may terminate the grievance at any time by giving written notice to the public school employer or its designee. Failure by the administration to adhere to decision deadlines (response time limits) constitutes the right to appeal automatically to the next step (higher level). Failure of the employee to adhere to the submission deadline (time limits) or follow sequential step procedures shall be deemed a termination of the grievance by the employee and waives any right to further appeal within this procedure. Nothing above prevents the parties from extending the time limits by mutual agreement.
