Common use of TIMELY NOTICE OF SEPARATION Clause in Contracts

TIMELY NOTICE OF SEPARATION. A faculty member who submits a timely separation notification announcing his/her intent to separate employment at the end of the individual’s contract year and then agrees to teach classes during the following quarter will be paid in accordance with the provisions outlined in this Agreement related to “off quarter contracts” for that following quarter. In order to qualify for this special pay provision, a faculty member must have worked at the College in a full-time faculty position for at least three years prior to the effective date of his/her separation. For purposes of this paragraph, “timely separation notification” must be given at least one- quarter prior to the date of separation of employment.
