Sick Leave Notification. An employee shall make every effort to notify a supervisor at least one (1) hour prior to his/her scheduled work shift when ill.
Sick Leave Notification. Employees must contact their supervisor one (1) hour prior to the start of their assigned shift to be placed on the sick board. An employee on the sick board wishing to return to work must notify their supervisor before 3:00 p.m. of the day before desiring to return to work.
Sick Leave Notification. Employees are required to notify his or her supervisor or designee a minimum of two (2) hours prior to the time his or her shift commences of absences requiring sick leave. Employees may delay notification only for unusual or unforeseen circumstances.

Sick Leave Notification. (1) The employee shall provide advance notice for prearranged medical, dental, or optical examination or treatment.
(2) An employee who is absent due to unforeseeable illness or injury shall no- tify their supervisor or acting supervisor as early as practicable on the first day of such absence, or, if unable for a legitimate reason, as soon as possible.
Sick Leave Notification a. Employees have the responsibility to assure that the supervisor is notified of their need for unplanned sick leave. The employee will make the notification personally, unless the degree of injury or illness prevents it.
b. Notification will be provided prior to the start of the tour of duty. In cases where the degree of injury or illness prevents it, notification will be made as soon as possible. Such employee's notification does not in itself constitute approval of sick leave.
c. The EMPLOYER will provide a method to receive the notification, which will include the name and telephone number of appropriate officials to whom to report. When reporting, the employee shall furnish the reason for the absence and the estimated duration. The employee will notify the immediate supervisor. If the immediate supervisor is not available, an on-duty supervisor will be notified. If no supervisor is on duty, the employee will notify another on-duty employee in the same department, if possible.

Sick Leave Notification. An Employee who is unable to attend work due to their illness or injury shall notify or see to the notification of their appropriate Manager as soon as possible on the day the Employee is unable to attend work. If the appropriate Manager cannot be reached then a departmental representative or the Human Resources Department shall be notified. If the illness is of some duration, the Employee shall keep in regular contact with Human Resources.
15.5.1 Absences due to sick leave as defined in Clause 15.1 without notification of the appropriate Manager, departmental representative or the Human Resources Department shall be considered as unauthorized leave and consequently without pay unless notification was not possible.
Sick Leave Notification. Employees will take all reasonable steps possible to notify their defined Supervisor of their impending absence, prior to the start of the work day or as soon as is known, where a health situation will necessitate an anticipated extended absence. For the purposes of Article 21, telephone conversations, voice mail, and/or e-mail will be accepted forms of notification.
Sick Leave Notification. Nurses shall notify the Employer at least one and one-half (1-1/2) hours in advance of the nurse’s scheduled shift if the nurse is unable to report for duty as scheduled. In accordance with Section 7.3 of the Agreement between the Hospital and the Union, nurses may, on an individual basis, agree to work seven (7) consecutive ten (10) hours shifts followed by seven (7) consecutive days off with the consent of the Employer. All existing contractual provisions shall apply unless otherwise provided for herein.
1. Workday. The normal work day shall consist of ten (10) hours work to be completed within ten and one-half (10-1/2) consecutive hours.
