TITLE VI CONTRACTOR ASSURANCES. As a condition to receiving federal financial assistance under the Agreement, if any, the Contractor shall comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d–2000d-7), all requirements imposed by the regulations of the United States Department of Transportation (49 CFR Part 21) issued in implementation thereof, and the “Title VI Contractor Assurances.”

Bonding of contractors or subcontractors shall be at the hiring Interconnected Entity’s discretion, but regardless of bonding, the hiring principal shall be responsible for the performance or non- performance of any contractor or subcontractor it hires.
