Tool Kit Insurance. 4.9.1. The Company will provide insurance to cover loss and/or damage to tool boxes and tools contained in those tool boxes (together, "Tool Kit") owned by Technicians and Apprentices under the following conditions, in addition to those conditions specified in the applicable insurance policy:
4.9.2. The insurance will only cover accidental loss, theft and irretrievable damage to the whole of the Employee's Tool Kit that occurs at the workplace;
4.9.3. Each Employee's inventory tools to be checked by the Company every six months and maintained by the Employee according to the minimum inventory requirement;
4.9.4. A $300 excess will apply to any claim for Tool Kit Insurance, to be paid by the Employee, except that the excess will be waived in the event of the whole Tool Kit being stolen in a burglary or the whole Tool Kit being damaged by fire; and
4.9.5. for a claim to be made by an Employee in relation to damage, the whole Tool Kit must be damaged due to fire or theft to the extent that it is irretrievably written off or, in the opinion of the Company, not worth repairing. Claims for loss or damage of single tools are excluded from this cover.
