Common use of Training Leave Clause in Contracts

Training Leave. A bargaining unit member who is directed by the University to engage in specified training and/or education as a condition of continued employment will be maintained in a regular pay status for the duration of such training. If required training exceeds a 40-hour work week, a bargaining unit member will be paid for all compensable hours beyond the 40-hour work week on an overtime basis according to the provisions of Article 12.
