Common use of Transmission encryption Clause in Contracts

Transmission encryption. All data transmissions of DOM PHI or PII outside the secure internal network must be encrypted using TLS 1.2 SHA-256 or higher encryption. This requirement pertains to any type of PHI or PII in motion including, but not limited to, website access, file transfer, and E-Mail.

Transmission encryption. All data transmissions of DOM PHI or PII PI outside the secure internal network must be encrypted using TLS 1.2 SHA-256 a FIPS 140-2 certified algorithm which is 128bit or higher encryptionhigher, such as AES. Encryption can be end to end at the network level, or the data files containing PHI or PI can be encrypted. This requirement pertains to any type of PHI or PII PI in motion including, but not limited to, website access, file transfer, and E-Mail.
