Transmission of signals. The transmission of signals between the platform and land will be through fiber optic links. These links will have redundancy for all signals in both the optical fibers and the associated electronics, so that the failure of a system or parts thereof, do not prevent 100% communication by the redundant link. Fibers will be contained in a weather proof enclosure with insulation characteristics equal to those of the support columns of the platforms. If electronics to be located on the platform requires energy for its operation, it will be supplied via a voltage transformer. The use of batteries on the platforms is not allowed. The electronic equipment mounted on the platform will be designed to withstand the electromagnetic fields to which it will be subjected in all operating conditions of the System as well as to properly operate during shocks and vibrations caused by earthquakes and by the operation of the switch. All the necessary electronics at ground level will be housed in cabinets that will be installed in the control booth, so that fibers directed from the platform will be brought to this cabinet. If fiber optic cable transition is required, it will be carried out in a junction box to be located in a place near the platforms.
