TRANSPORTATION, TRAVEL TIME AND ROOM AND BOARD. 13.01 When employees who are covered by this Agreement are required to travel to jobs in which an Employer is involved and which lie outside a forty-five (45) kilometre radius from the Employer's Shop, the following conditions shall apply: a. the transportation of the employees shall be provided by each Employer and in that Employer's vehicles; b. when this rule is impractical for an Employer, and the employee is required to use his own car, the employee shall be reimbursed at fifty cents per kilometre (50¢/km) for any distance travelled outside of the above limits; c. the Employer will arrange to pay for parking at job sites where the Employer directs the employee to drive their personal vehicle; d. where an employee is required to use a public means of transportation, his Employer shall bear the full cost of such means of public transportation; e. for jobs which are outside a forty-five (45) kilometre radius from the Employer's shop, employees shall be paid both ways at one-half (½) their regular hourly rate for the time it takes from the job to his Employer's headquarters, in addition to any reimbursements set out in Article 13.01 b., c. or d. above. 13.02 Where jobs are undertaken by the Employer in areas which are at any distance from the Company's Headquarters or home base and where employees are required to find board and lodgings, that Employer shall make the necessary arrangements and bear the costs of such board and lodgings. Where a company account or credit card is not provided for expenses, a daily out of town meal allowance of fifty-five dollars ($55.00) per day, including travel days, shall be paid.

c. the Employer will arrange to pay for parking at job sites where the Employer directs the employee to drive their personal vehicle;
d. where an employee is required to use a public means of transportation, his Employer shall bear the full cost of such means of public transportation;
e. for d. For jobs which are outside a forty-five (45) 45 kilometre radius and/or 45 minute drive (on average) from the Employer's shop, employees shall be paid both ways at one-one- half (½) times their regular hourly rate for the time it takes from the job to his Employer's headquartersshop, in addition to any reimbursements set out in Article 13.01 b.b. or 13.01 c. above.
e. Local hires for out of town projects are not entitled to travel time, c. mileage, or the per diem as outlined in 13.
f. It is understood that at X’Xxxxxx Electric, the distance in 13.01 d. aboveis based on the employee’s principle place of residence.
13.02 Where jobs are undertaken by the Employer in areas which are at any distance from the Company's Headquarters or home base employee’s principle place of residence and where employees are the employee is required to find board and lodgingslive away from home, that the Employer shall shall:
a. make the necessary arrangements and bear the costs of such board and lodgings. Where a company account or credit card is not provided for expensesaccommodation, and;
b. provide a daily meal allowance to cover each employee’s food and beverage costs, as follows:
i. $40 per day that an employee works out of town. For the purpose of this per diem, out of town meal allowance is defined as a project that is more than 45 kilometres from the employee’s home;
ii. $50 per day when a project is more than 500 km from the employee’s home;
iii. Where an employee works a compressed workweek, the reimbursement will be paid as follows: at 44 hours is 5 days reimbursed at 54 hours is 6 days reimbursed at 64 hours is 7 days reimbursed at 74 hours is 8 days reimbursed
13.03 Neither travel time, mileage nor travel expenses are payable under the provisions of fifty-five dollars ($55.00) per day, including travel days, Article 13.02; and that Article 13.01 is inoperable when Article 13.02 is in effect.
13.04 The Employer shall be paidreimburse employees for parking fees incurred for parking at sites where free parking is not readily availability. Such reimbursement is provided upon presentation of receipts and prior agreement with the Employer.

For clarity, c. or d. abovethe time spent travelling from the Employer’s shop to the job site and returning to the Employer’s shop shall be considered as time worked for the purposes of this Agreement, and is paid for when it exceeds one and one-half (1½) hours daily.
