Common use of Travelling and Waiting Time Clause in Contracts

Travelling and Waiting Time. (a) Time waiting and travelling outside of assigned hours will be paid for at pro rata rates except that time spent traveling in or on Company work vehicles (including track motor cars, telecommunications vehicles, and employees' automobiles when authorized) will be considered as time worked. When waiting or traveling by public transportation, on which meal service is available, one hour without pay shall be allowed for each regular meal period. (b) When away from headquarters waiting time will not be paid if hotel or sleeping accommodation is provided.
