Common use of Truck Driver In-Service Clause in Contracts

Truck Driver In-Service. The Board shall conduct at least one in-service for truck drivers during the school year in order to review new procedures, laws, and other items related to the performance of duties. All truck drivers may be required to attend the training, and, if it is held outside the workday, shall be compensated at the in-service rate established elsewhere in this Agreement. Truck drivers for whom such training would conflict with other responsibilities (for example education, second job or unavoidable family responsibilities) must be excused from attendance by his/her supervisor prior to the training.
