UBC Registration Fee. If, during the life of this Collective Agreement, the University of British Columbia should levy any tuition expenses over and above the registration fee of twenty dollars ($20.00), the Employer and RDBC agree to enter into discussions with the University of British Columbia with a view to ameliorating any economic hardship which might impact on the Resident as a result of said increase. One aspect of “amelioration,” as referenced above, is joint representation on the prospect of new or increased tuition/fees. The parties agree to work jointly and proactively to make representations with whatever government department or agency is appropriate to ensure that the Government of British Columbia fully appreciates the economic hardship that would fall to a Resident from new or unreasonably increased tuition/fees.
