Alternate Religious Holiday. A Resident who is a practitioner of a recognized faith which does not celebrate Good Friday, Easter Monday and/or Christmas Day, may designate an alternate paid holiday as a replacement subject to the discretion of the Program Director which shall not be unreasonably withheld, subject to the provisions below:

Alternate Religious Holiday a) A Resident Physician may request that the six (6) consecutive days off duty in Article 21.03 be scheduled at another time to accommodate the observance of an alternative religious holiday.

  • Religious Holidays When a religious holiday, not observed as a holiday, as provided in Section 2 above, falls on a supervisor's regularly scheduled work day, the supervisor shall be entitled to that day off to observe the religious holiday. Time to observe religious holidays shall be taken without pay except where the supervisor has sufficient accumulated vacation leave or accumulated compensatory time, or, by mutual consent, is able to make the time up. Supervisors shall notify the Appointing Authority at least twenty-eight (28) calendar days prior to the leave.

  • Religious Holiday Leave An employee may use two (2) sick days for religious observances if he/she has no personal business leave days. When an employee requests the use of this leave for days not known to be a religious holiday, the Board may request documentation.

  • Religious Leave Religious leave shall be without pay unless the employee elects to use accumulated compensatory time off, vacation time, or floating holiday time. Denial of religious leave is appealable as provided elsewhere in this section.

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Public Holiday 6.1 The Worker will be entitled to public holidays in accordance with the labour laws in Malaysia.

  • Compensation for Work on a Holiday (a) Where an Employee is regularly scheduled to work, in accordance with Article 14, and her regularly scheduled day of work falls on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 18.01, she shall receive compensation equal to two and one-half (2 ½) times her regular rate of pay as follows:
