Unconditional and Continuing Security Interest Clause Samples

The Unconditional and Continuing Security Interest clause establishes that a security interest granted by a debtor to a creditor remains in effect at all times and is not subject to conditions or termination until all obligations are fully satisfied. In practice, this means that the creditor retains a legal claim over specified collateral regardless of changes in circumstances, such as partial repayments or changes in the underlying agreement. This clause ensures that the creditor's rights to the collateral are protected continuously, thereby reducing the risk of loss if the debtor defaults or if the agreement is modified.
