UNCOVERING OF WORK. A. If a portion of the Work is covered contrary to the Owner’s request or to the requirements contained in the Contract Documents, the Contractor shall, at its own expense and upon the written request of the Owner, uncover and replace such Work without an adjustment to the Contract Time or Contract Price. B. If a portion of the Work has been covered which the Owner and/or Arlington County Inspector has not specifically requested to observe prior to its being covered and is, under the Contract Documents, allowed to be covered without observation of the Owner or applicable law or regulation, the Owner and/or Arlington County Inspector may request to see such Work and it shall be uncovered by the Contractor. If such Work is in accordance with the Contract Documents, costs of uncovering and replacement shall be charged to the Owner and paid to the Contractor. If such Work is not in accordance with the Contract Documents, the Contractor shall pay the costs of uncovering and replacing such Work.
