Common use of Union Action Clause in Contracts

Union Action. Upon notification by the City to the Union that certain of its members are engaged in a violation of this Provision the Union shall immediately order such members to return to work. In the event that a strike not authorized by the Union occurs, the Union agrees to take all reasonable effective and affirmative action to secure the members’ return to work as promptly as possible.

Union Action. Upon notification by the City to the President of the Union that certain of its members are engaged in a violation of this Provision provision, the President of the Union shall immediately immediately, in writing, order such members to return to work, provide the City with a copy of such an order, and a responsible officer of the Union shall publicly order the employees to return to work. In the event that a strike or other violation not authorized by the Union occurs, the President of the Union agrees to take all reasonable effective reasonable, effective, and affirmative action to secure the members’ return to work as promptly as possible.
