Common use of Union Dues and Information Clause in Contracts

Union Dues and Information. 3.01 Every employee in the bargaining unit shall complete a written dues check-off request upon commencing employment within the bargaining unit. Completed forms shall be sent to the Union within one (1) month of a new employee’s start date. The Employer shall deduct and pay out of the salary due to the employee the appropriate initiation fees, union dues and assessments, as established by the Union. All employees shall be deemed to be union members unless they opt out of union membership by written notice to the Union.
