UNION MEMBERSHIP AND CHECKOFF. 5.01 Neither the Employer nor the Union will compel employees to join the Union. The Employer will not discriminate against any employee because of Union membership or lack of it, and will inform all new employees of the contractual relationship between the Employer and the Union. 5.02 The Union agrees that it shall make membership in the Union available to all employees covered by this Agreement. 5.03 The Employer is authorized and shall deduct each month an amount equal to Union dues from each employee's pay. Such deductions shall go into effect with the first complete month of employment of the employee.
