8.05 The Company agrees to recognize a Bargaining Committee consisting of three (3) Union Stewards for the purpose of negotiating the renewal of this Collective Agreement. A Union Negotiating Committee member who is scheduled to work shall be granted time off with pay necessary to conduct direct negotiations with the Company for a new Collective Agreement.
8.06 Any time consumed on Union business or activities that has been authorized by the Company or agreed to under this Collective Agreement, excluding Articles 8 & 9 will be paid by the Company and charged to Local Lodge 2413, plus a ten percent (10%) administration fee. The Local Lodge will provide the Company with the respective time clearance request and will reimburse the Company by month end.
8.07 The Chief Xxxxxxx shall have super seniority for the purposes of layoff only and shall work a shift that allows access to the greatest number of employees while still being accessible to Management, the times of which shall be mutually agreed. Such agreement shall not be unreasonably withheld. Such shift shall be based on forty (40) hours pay per week.
8.08 Prior to effecting any schedule change, management shall give the Union Schedule Committee an opportunity to present their views of any such proposed changes prior to management making its' final decision. The Union shall keep the Company informed of the two (2) employees who make up the Union Schedule Committee.

8.06 The Union Negotiating Committee shall be granted the time off work with pay necessary to draft proposals and conduct the business of negotiating with the Company for a new Collective Agreement. The Negotiating Committee shall consist of six (6) employees and the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx whose names are to be submitted to the Company in writing.
8.07 The Chief Xxxxxxx will be a full-time position, employed on a day shift Monday to Friday in order that he will be available to discuss Union matters with both the membership and management. The full-time xxxxxxx is to be paid the highest negotiated wage in the Collective Agreement. The wages will be paid as outlined in Local Lodge 16’s Policies and Procedures and as mutually agreed between the company and the union. The Company will make every effort to provide an office to the Chief Xxxxxxx. The Union will require a phone with long distance capabilities. The Company will maintain the monthly telephone maintenance costs and the Union will be recharged for all long distance charges.

13.02 The Business Manager and/or Business Representative of the Local Union shall have access to all jobs of the Employer during working hours, but in no case shall his visits interfere with the progress of work. When visiting a job, he will first report to the Supervisor company superintendent or other supervisory personnel of the Employer in charge of the job.
13.03 In circumstances where the Employer does not have the authority to allow access, the Employer agrees to make a joint application with the Union to the owner to gain such access prior to the job commencing.
13.04 The Local Union representative, when resuming his regular dutieson site, shall abide by all reasonable site regulations, safety and security rules as stipulated in the appropriate safety acts.
13.05 Each xxxxxxx shall be one (1) of the last two (2) men employees (covered under this agreement) to remain working, provided such xxxxxxx is capable and qualified to perform the work required. The xxxxxxx will not be excluded from overtime work where possible provided he is capable and qualified to do the work required.
13.06 Where required by legislation, a certified Health and Safety Representative will be appointed by the Union.
13.07 The Union reserves the right to appoint such safety representatives as needed given the changing number of employees and work locations over the year.
