UNION/SFCC-AAUP RIGHTS. 22.1 The following rights shall be granted exclusively to the SFCC-AAUP, and shall not be granted to any other labor organization. 22.2 The SFCC-AAUP may use meeting areas in College buildings at no cost to the SFCC-AAUP provided advanced scheduling has been made with the College and provided such meetings do not conflict with scheduled events (as determined by the College) the College’s facilities policy, or any bargaining unit members’ College duties. 22.3 The SFCC-AAUP shall be provided bulletin board space in areas where faculty notices are normally displayed. Separate bulletin boards will be specifically designated for SFCC-AAUP notices. SFCC-AAUP members can utilize email subject to all applicable SFCC Policies. SFCC- AAUP representatives may place information in bargaining unit members' mailboxes, and may utilize college telephone services subject to all applicable SFCC Policies. 22.4 SFCC-AAUP officials and/or representatives who are not College employees shall have the right to visit worksites for the purpose of conducting representational business provided they do not interfere with any employees’ work schedule and provided they give advance notice to the Executive Director of Human Resources (or designee). The request for approval will normally be obtained two (2) days in advance. Notices of shorter duration will not be unreasonably denied. 22.5 Upon request by the SFCC-AAUP President, the College shall provide the Union President with budget and salary information of unit members, departmental affiliation, which are considered public information. This information shall be provided in electronic format whenever possible. 22.6 Upon request, the College shall provide the SFCC-AAUP a listing of all unit members arranged according to hire date. The listing shall also include the members’ work locations. This information shall be provided in electronic format whenever possible. 22.7 The SFCC-AAUP officers and stewards are recognized as SFCC-AAUP representatives if they have been so designated in writing. This recognition carries with it the right of the representatives to carry out their Union responsibilities provided these responsibilities do not interfere with the representative’s or the employees’ work hours/workload as defined herein. Within 30 days of the signing of this Agreement, the SFCC-AAUP President shall notify, in writing, the College’s Executive Director of Human Resources (or designee) of the worksite representatives and changes within 10 days of when they occur. The College shall recognize these representatives as SFCC- AAUP representatives. Anyone whose name does not appear on the notification to the College’s Executive Director of Human Resources (or designee) shall not receive any recognition. 22.7.1 SFCC-AAUP representatives may distribute SFCC-AAUP materials and conduct Union business provided this activity does not interfere with the representative’s workload schedule, or the workload schedule of other employees. 22.7.2 The worksite representative shall have the right to bring to the attention of the appropriate supervisor all matters pertaining to the rights of SFCC-AAUP and other concerns of the employees provided these activities do not interfere with the representative’s workload or the schedule/workload of other employees.
