Unit Priced Work Clause Samples
The Unit Priced Work clause defines how payment is calculated for work items that are measured and paid for based on specific units, such as per square foot, cubic yard, or linear meter. Under this clause, the contractor is compensated according to the actual quantities of work performed, with each unit priced at a predetermined rate set in the contract. This approach ensures that both parties have a clear and fair method for adjusting payments if the actual quantities differ from initial estimates, thereby managing cost uncertainty and reducing disputes over changes in scope.
