Unpaid Child Bonding Leave. Bargaining unit members who request to take a personal leave to prepare for childbirth may be granted such a leave without pay for a time mutually agreeable to the bargaining unit member and the District. Bargaining unit members who request to take a personal leave to raise a child immediately following childbirth or upon adoption of a child may be granted such a leave without pay for one (1) school year, with the option to request an additional year.
