Upgrade Training. (a) In the event of an employee taking a course of instruction initiated by the employer in order that the employee will be better qualified to perform his/her job, the Board will pay all course costs in advance.
(b) In the event of an employee taking a course of instruction initiated by the employee and approved by the Board in order that the employee will be better qualified to perform hi/her job, the employee will pay all costs in advance and will be reimbursed by the employer upon successful completion.
Upgrade Training. Phoenix shall provide training on all New Releases at times and locations determined by Phoenix. The Marketing Agent may send two representatives to one scheduled training session for each New Release at no cost. Additional representatives may attend such training for additional fees as determined by Phoenix. The Marketing Agent shall pay all travel and living expenses for its representatives.
Upgrade Training. Where an Employee has been selected by the Employer to attend a specific course, the Employer shall pay all expenses including normal salary. Employees who wish to take and claim reimbursement for job-related courses which do not require time off from work, must apply for approval in advance. Upon completion of the courses and upon presentation of the necessary receipts, the Employee shall be reimbursed for the costs of tuition and required textbooks. Regular Employees shall be granted time off with pay, during regular work hours, to write exam's for approved courses.
Upgrade Training. The parties agree that career-long skill upgrade training is necessary for an effective workforce and agree to undertake those measures available to them to encourage continuing training for sheet metal journeymen.
Upgrade Training. Section 1. The Company will attempt to schedule upgrade training on days off to minimize disruption to the operation. The Company will make reasonable efforts to schedule training immediately before or immediately after a Pilot's hitch. If upgrade training cannot be scheduled immediately before or after his hitch, the Company shall provide the Pilot with housing and per diem during the day(s) off between his training and his hitch. Pay while in upgrade will be in accordance with Article 21 of this Agreement. A Pilot's base salary will not increase until he has successfully completed all training and reports for duty for the first scheduled revenue flight in the upgraded aircraft.
Upgrade Training. Save and except for ground school, upgrade training will only be provided to Flight Crew Members chosen through the bid process.

If upgrade training cannot be scheduled immediately before or after his hitch, the Company shall provide the Pilot who does not live within a reasonable proximity of the Fairbanks area with housing pursuant to Article 18, Section 2A, during the day(s) off between his training and his hitch. Pay while in upgrade will be in accordance with Article 21 of this Agreement. A Pilot’s base salary will not increase until he has successfully completed all training and reports for duty for the first scheduled revenue flight in the upgraded aircraft. Upgrade training in the Alaska operation is defined as moving from an SIC seat to a PIC seat in the same type aircraft.
Upgrade Training. All Active Building Trades Journeyman must complete OSHA 30 training. Effective May 30, 2021, an employee who has not completed OSHA 30 by May 30, 2021, will not receive the scheduled wage increase until such training is completed and then only on a prospective basis. All online OSHA 30 courses will be reimbursed by the Local 400 and MCA of North Central Education Fund upon successful completion of the training.
