Common use of Urgent Domestic Contingency Clause in Contracts

Urgent Domestic Contingency. At the City's discretion, special leave with pay to a maximum of three (3) days may be granted if required in an urgent and unforeseen circumstance in order to enable an employee to attend to family business arising from a serious domestic contingency or difficulty related to their residence such as, but not limited to, the burning of an employee's residence. ”Family” is to be interpreted for the purposes of section 11.08 as limited to a member of the employee’s household.
