INTERNAL PROMOTIONS. The Board declares its support of a policy regarding the filling of vacancies, including vacancies in promotional positions, from its present staff. These positions shall be posted in accordance with Article 9.2
INTERNAL PROMOTIONS. In assessing the required qualifications of applicants, the Employer shall consider each individual's abilities, education, skills, knowledge, aptitude and fitness for the vacant position. If there are no qualified applicants for a permanent vacancy the Employer, in consultation with the Union, may repost the vacancy internally for training or experience purposes for all employees; waiving some of the job qualifications. The successful Employee must meet the job qualifications within the probationary or trial period.
i) Promotion - A promoted Employee shall be placed at the step of their new pay level that will provide them with a minimum of a four percent (4%) increase in pay. Under no circumstances will a promoted Employee receive wages higher than the top step of his new pay level. Their next increment date will become the one (1) year anniversary of the date their promotion came into effect. Subsequent increments will move to the common anniversary date of May 1st.
ii) Transfer - An Employee transferred, at their own option, shall be placed in the same step in their new position that they were in their previous position. Their increment date will not change, however, they shall not receive any increment during the trial period. Any increment so due shall take effect at the end of such trial period. Transfers do not include movement from full time to part time status, or vice versa, within the same position.
INTERNAL PROMOTIONS. Subject to the discretion of a Snap Product Manager, during the Term, Snap shall promote and link the Health Channel within and throughout the Snap Sites. Subject to the discretion of a Snap Product Manager, the Company may receive internal promotional links within relevant sub-areas of the Snap Sites that link to the Co-Branded Site. Such relevant sub-areas may include, without limitation, the following: Shopping, Local, Education, Kids and Family. = Snap, in its sole discretion, has the right to create, maintain or discontinue any of the foregoing sub-areas on the Snap Sites. In addition, Snap may include a link to the Health Channel and/or the Co-Branded Site within issues of Snap Wire, as determined by Snap in its sole discretion.
INTERNAL PROMOTIONS. Employees promoted to a new position shall serve a 90-day probationary period and shall be evaluated at 30, 60 and 90 days. Removal from probation requires Board approval. An internal promotion occurs under the following conditions: 1) when a mid-manager moves from one position to another existing position at a higher grade within the same department, or 2) when the job duties of a mid-manager have changed so substantially as to warrant a new position at a higher grade.
INTERNAL PROMOTIONS. An employee promoted to the position of Head Custodian shall receive an hourly rate increase such that the employee’s overall annual increase will be a minimum of $3,500.00 in the year of the promotion, or the contractual starting rate for Head Custodian, whichever is greater. This rate increase will be paid retroactively at the conclusion of the promotion probationary period. An employee promoted to the position of Head Xxxx shall receive an hourly rate increase such that the employee’s overall annual increase will be a minimum of $2,500.00 in the year of the promotion, or the contractual starting rate for Head Xxxx, whichever is greater. This rate increase will be paid retroactively at the conclusion of the promotion probationary period. The promotion probationary period shall be as follows: The District will provide a mentor to the newly promoted employee for the first ten (10) work days for training. The mentor will continue to be made available for assistance as needed during the first thirty (30) work days. At the end of the first thirty (30) work days the promoted employee will receive a preliminary evaluation from the direct supervisor. At the end of the first sixty (60) work days the promoted employee will receive a final evaluation from the direct supervisor. If the final evaluation is satisfactory, the promotion will be determined final. If the evaluation is unsatisfactory, the employee will return to the former position and salary with no penalty.

INTERNAL PROMOTIONS. A. Paralegal - an employee ’s work title will be reviewed by Human Resources and shall become “paralegal” provided the employee meets the requirements of Business and Professions Code section 6450(c).
B. Program Coordinators or Paralegals who are assigned client work and appear at administrative hearings as a certified or authorized representative shall be eligible for senior status after working at EBCLC for at least three years if they meet the criteria below.
C. Senior status Employees who have worked at EBCLC for at least five years, or who have seven years of total equivalent experience, which may include relevant work experience at EBCLC, shall be granted “Senior” status subject to meeting the following criteria: ● Candidate works independently, with minimal supervision, in carrying out all core job duties; ● Candidate is willing and able to mentor and train other staff; ● Candidate shows initiative in advancing EBCLC’s mission and organizational culture; DRAFT ● Candidate has demonstrated the expertise and willingness take on an increased and/or more complex workload; ● Candidate demonstrates ownership of and accountability for deliverables; ● Candidate is willing to apply themselves to development opportunities; ● For internal candidates only, candidate has satisfactory job performance as evidenced by all of the following: ○ the absence of written warnings during the prior 12 months in the candidate's personnel file; and ○ References from the candidate’s lead and references from others at EBCLC who have worked with the candidate. During employees’ performance evaluations and periodically during check-ins, the lead shall review these internal promotion criteria and provide feedback about whether the employee is on track to meet them or, if not, what steps they can take to meet them. The lead will make a recommendation about the employee’s eligibility for “Senior” status designation to Human Resources. Promotions will be made in a manner that is consistent and equitable. Both relevant professional and lived experience will be considered “equivalent experience.”
