Usage of Family and Medical Leave Act. Family and medical leave is unpaid leave to be used for: A. The employee’s serious health condition, which is defined as a condition requiring in-patient care or continuing treatment by a health care provider (as defined in the Family and Medical Leave Act); B. The birth, adoption or accepting of a child as a xxxxxx placement; and, C. Caring for an employee’s sick child, spouse, or parent.
