Common use of Use of Substitute Monies Clause in Contracts

Use of Substitute Monies. With the approval of the department and Principal, the District will use some of the monies normally budgeted for substitutes to hire a number of auxiliary personnel who will provide relief of our regular professional staff so that the department or school can assume the responsibility when the teacher is absent. Sufficient funds should remain in this budget so that any absence of over five (5) consecutive days shall be filled with a regular substitute teacher. The Board of Education shall provide the following insurance or at least its equivalent for each eligible teacher, the costs thereof to be borne as hereinafter set forth:
