Utility Potholing. Potholing of existing utilities within the proposed Project alignment will be performed at critical crossings identified by F&L to determine the horizontal and vertical position of select utilities and to verify the proposed vertical and horizontal alignment. Horizontal and vertical position of potholed utilities will be located with reference to adjacent surfaces (i.e. roadway surface) and nearby above grade features. The diameter and material type of the exposed utility will be recorded as well. F&L assumes no more than one day of potholing will be required. F&L will utilize EXARO Technologies Corporation (EXARO) to perform the potholing. EXARO is an experienced vacuum excavation sub-contractor that utilizes highly trained and experienced technicians. Vacuum excavation is a non-destructive excavation method that is recognized as the safest and most cost-effective means to positively expose underground utilities.
Utility Potholing. The Consultant shall: • Provide ongoing utility and entity coordination as established under Task 1.5. • Prepare a utility pothole plan and provide services for potholing, backfilling, compaction, and permit acquisition for up to Sixty (60) potholes to determine location of underground utilities in the vicinity of the Project. Additional potholing will be conducted as a supplemental service.
Utility Potholing. Xxxx Testlabs, Inc. (XXXX) will perform utility potholing. XXXX will perform utility potholes using air- vacuum excavation at predetermined locations to document the precise horizontal and vertical position of existing utilities within the investigation area. Data collected as a result of potholing activities will be presented in a Portable Document Format (PDF) report that will include: utility type, size, material, depth and pictures of the exposed utility. Pothole locations (in the field) will be marked with wooden lath and ribbon marked with the pothole number, utility size and depth or MAG nail with pertinent utility data annotated on the ground surface. Once the utility data has been collected the pothole will be restored to its previous condition using native backfill and the appropriate surface restoration materials as directed by the roadway/facility owner. Prior to potholing XXXX will require a pothole request list identifying the pothole number, horizontal location in coordinate format and the type of utility to be potholed and 2 sets of half size plans (11”x17”) with the pothole locations clearly marked and annotated with the corresponding pothole number. XXXX will review utility atlas maps, xxxx planned pothole locations, and contact Underground Service Alert (USA) at least 72 hours prior to potholing any underground utilities. XXXX will show the size, material, location and depth of utilities on the project plans. This proposal assumes a total of seven utility potholes: six potholes along SR-227 and one on Los Ranchos Road.

Utility Potholing. Contractor shall perform utility potholing to determine the vertical and horizontal location of existing subsurface utilities (if any) at the proposed locations for the traffic signal pole foundations. Contractor shall conduct up to eight (8) potholes within the project site intersection. All permit issuance fees shall be waived. Fee does not include the preparation of Traffic Control Plans by registered Engineer. Traffic Control shall be conducted via Watch Manual. Fee includes all costs associated with furnishing and implementing the traffic control. Fee includes all costs for restoration of the pothole excavations. This task shall be billed via hourly rates on an as-needed/earned procedure as not all 8 potholes may be needed. Task A3.7 – 75% Plans, Specifications, and Estimates Contractor shall design and draw construction plans detailing the demolition of the existing right-of-way and the reconstruction of it for the new project improvements. Plans shall call out the demolition and removal of all affected roadway pavements, gutters, curbs, driveways, ramps, sidewalks, medians, etc. Plans shall call out the demolition and removal of all objects, the adjustment/relocation of all objects, and/or the protecting in place of all objects, as applicable. Plans shall include removal of entire IRWL system and all striping/signage/markers of current intersection control that conflict with the new project system. Plans shall include the reconstruction of all elements, including new roadway pavement, gutter, curb, ramps, driveways, sidewalks, medians, bulb outs, etc. Includes all grading design, and the drawing of centerline/ridgeline, top of curb, and flowline profiles. Includes all necessary notes, legends, details, typical sections, and plan views. Includes grading details of all 4 corners of intersections, to document unique grade planes in the curb return areas and in the pavement merges at the curb returns, ensuring enough grading control displayed for intersection plane. All DocuSign Envelope ID: XX00X000-0XX0-000X-0000-0XXX00X0XXX0 design shall comply with ADA rules. Includes repositioning curb ramps for optimal discharging. Includes new bulb outs. Contractor shall include all horizontal control information on the plans: • the bearings, curve data, and position dimensioning of the right-of-way mapping (right-of-way lines, easement lines, centerlines). • The same content for curb lines. • The datum and basis of bearings statements. • The stationing of all ob...
