FINAL DESIGN SERVICESUpon receipt of written authorization by the City, the Consultant shall perform final design services which consist of furnishing plans and specifications to the City for review, approval, and printing. This task shall consist of 70% design submittal, 90% design submittal, and 100% design submittal.
FINAL DESIGN SERVICES. This task consists of all services necessary to take project from Task 1 Preliminary Design Services through the Final Design Services and may include the following itemized services. 2.1 Address City comments from the Task 1 City review(s) and finalize Preliminary Design Report. The Preliminary Design Report should be now titled “Project Design Report”. 2.2 Provide project layout to include lot lines (front and side) and addresses of all properties (adjacent to construction, or alternatively, in service area). Identify if property is owner occupied or a rental. 2.3 Determine removal limits with approval of City of Rapid City representative. 2.4 Incorporate design features as necessary to meet the requirements outlined in the Project Design Report. 2.5 Incorporate ADA compliance items, for example fillet, driveway and sidewalk improvements. All applicable ADA requirements shall be outlined in the Project Design Report. 2.6 Provide a complete stormwater pollution prevention narrative which will include detailed erosion and sediment control measures and specifications. 2.7 Provide detailed traffic control plans showing all devices required for a MUTCD compliant plan. 2.8 Provide a Project Sequence of implementation and phasing schedule which shall include such items as traffic control, erosion and sediment control, utility installations, paving, restoration, and construction milestones. 2.9 The consultant shall create a detailed list of all potential utility conflicts caused by the project. City Project Manager shall schedule the Private Utility Coordination Meeting. The consultant shall prepare the meeting agenda and include the list of utility conflicts for discussion at the meeting. Prior to the meeting, preliminary plans shall be provided to the pertinent utilities for comment at the time they are complete. The consultant shall document the resolution of each utility conflict agreed upon by each utility company. Provide the City Project Manager a list of all private utility conflict resolutions. If private utilities will need to be relocated, assist PM as necessary with formal notification. 2.10 If desiring exceptions from City requirements or specifications, it is the Consultant’s responsibility to request and secure exceptions. Failure by the City to comment on a non-conforming item during a review does not constitute the granting of an exception. FINAL DESIGN SERVICES. 1. Tasks associated with the development of plans, specifications, and estimates for replacement of the existing culvert bridges on Pecan Creek and Cedar Creek Road with slab beam bridges. CI will also develop an alignment and design the proposed access road between Xxxxx Edge Section 3 and Pecan Creek subdivision as recommended in the engineering letter report. 2. Coordinate with the Gulf Coat Water Authority (GCWA) and private utility companies whose facilities may be affected by the proposed construction and obtain the location of their existing and planned facilities. When necessary, we will assist the County in negotiations with the GCWA and pipeline companies and authorities for adjustment of their facilities. 3. Provide the Fort Bend County with a 90% submittal of the project for review, which is to include plan set, project manual, and estimated construction cost for the submittal. 4. Receive Fort Bend County, Fort Bend County Drainage District, and agency review comments and incorporate into the final design phase of the project.
FINAL DESIGN SERVICES a. Assemble the construction plans and specifications into a final construction plan set suitable for Bidding and Permitting purposes. b. Prepare the final Engineer’s Estimate of Probable Construction Cost for the COUNTY’S use and construction bid comparison.
FINAL DESIGN SERVICES. All Final Design Services shall be paid for in a Single Lump Sum. Upon receiving written authorization to proceed with the Final Design Phase Services, the Design Consultant shall: a. Attend coordination meetings with the County and/or its Project Manager as required. These will include, but not limited to: • Bi-Weekly Coordination Meetings (Conference Calls) b. Prepare final designs, drawings and specifications for the Project. Drawings shall be submitted for review at the following Milestones: • 70% Milestone Submittal: Preliminary plans to include: o Cover sheet (Fort Bend County name and seal, project name with limits, vicinity and location maps, names of County Judge and Commissioners, signature line for County Engineer, design firm name and registration number) o Typical and non-standard cross sections (not-to-scale proposed sections with station limits for each section; show pavement/subgrade material and thickness, right-of-way and roadway width, applicable dimensions, profile grade line, and general location of existing and proposed utilities) o Overall project layout (scale as appropriate with sheet references left blank since they are subject to change in subsequent submittals) o Survey control map o Removal plans o Drainage area map with hydraulic calculations (display calculations clearly for future use by area developers) o Plan and profile sheets (1”=20’ plan scale but printed half-size for a 1”=40’ scale; all existing and proposed facilities correctly shown in plan and profile; separate drawings for roadway and storm sewer are not necessary; detailed callouts not required at 70%) o Traffic control plan (phasing and traffic control; avoid detours unless approved by the County; use of construction zone standards is encouraged) o Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (drawings and text; drawings may consist of a layout and details) o Specification table of contents (use Xxxxxx County Specifications) o Bid form with estimated unit and total costs (spreadsheet based) o Deliverables: ▪ Adobe PDF Electronic Copy • 95% Milestone Submittal: Complete drawings with interim seal to include all information from the 70% Milestone Submittal in addition to the following: o General Notes Sheet o Verify earthwork quantities with cross sections at 100-foot intervals (only non-standard sections should be included in plans) o Signage and pavement marking plans (signs may be shown on plan and profile sheets and use of pavement marking standards is encouraged) o ...

These services are based upon one (1) new reconstruction contract. 2.1. Address City comments from the Task 1 City review(s) and finalize Preliminary Design Report. The Preliminary Design Report should be now titled “Final Project Design Report” and will be submitted at the conclusion of final design. A report submittal will not be included with the 60% submittal. 2.2. The Consultant will prepare technical memos, as needed to address a specific item during the final design phase that requires a City decision. The tech memos will be included in the report appendix. Two (2) memos are included in the budget. 2.3. The Consultant’s control system design team will complete the final controls design including: 2.3.1. Controls Abbreviation sheet 2.3.2. P&ID drawings

Final tie- in locations and final details will be coordinated with City during 90% review. 4.2. Plans will include standard sheets including cover sheet, detail sheets, removal sheets and plan and profile sheets. Standard City Specifications will be used; updates to City specifications may be utilized. 4.3. Individual lead service lines information provided by City will be included in appendix to specifications. 4.4. Opinion of Probably Cost will be prepared. 4.5. SRF requirements will be included in the contract documents. 4.6. Two Progress Meetings (Progress meeting and 90% design review) 4.7. Deliverables: 90% and Final plans
