Vehicle Location Information. The information generated by a Global Positioning System (GPS) or Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) system in any State-owned vehicle will not be used as the sole basis to initiate disciplinary action. This does not preclude the use of GPS / AVL data to verify information from other sources when deemed necessary by the appropriate investigatory authority.
