Common use of Verification of Coverage Clause in Contracts

Verification of Coverage. Contractor shall furnish City with original certificates and amendatory endorsements or copies of the applicable policy language effecting coverage required by this clause. All certificates and endorsements are to be received and approved by City before work commences. A statement on an insurance certificate will not be accepted in lieu of the actual endorsements required herein. Each insurance certificate shall specifically identify this agreement.
