Visiting Assistant Professor, Visiting Associate Professor. or Visiting Professor is the rank assigned to a faculty member whose education and experience is equivalent to Xxxxxx State faculty with the corresponding rank. Visiting appointments may be made for a period of up to three years. If an initial appointment is for less than three years, it may be extended when the advertisements for the position and the appointment letter state that such extensions are possible, but the total length of a visiting appointment cannot exceed three years.
