Common use of Voluntary/Involuntary Demotion Clause in Contracts

Voluntary/Involuntary Demotion. An employee who, after the probationary period, is demoted to a position in a class which is allocated to a lower salary range than the class from which they are demoted shall have their salary reduced to the salary in the range for the new class which is the same or closest to the salary they were receiving before demotion. The anniversary date of such employee after demotion shall remain the same as before demotion.
