Volunteering 58.1 The parties recognise the community partnerships between ACT Government agencies and volunteers and the valuable contribution to the ACT community that volunteers make.
Substitutes 10.5 The responsibility for the selection, orientation and employment of substitutes rests at the local school level. The principal, or his/her designee, shall be responsible for obtaining qualified substitutes. Teachers shall not be required to obtain their own substitutes.
Volunteers The use of volunteers to perform bargaining unit work, as covered by this agreement, shall not be expanded beyond the extent of existing practice as of June 1, 1986. The Hospital shall submit to the Union, at three (3) month intervals, the number of volunteers for the current month and the number of hours worked and the duties performed.
Long-Term Substitutes Long-term substitutes are defined as teachers hired to fill the temporary vacancy of a teacher on leave in the same assignment for more than sixty (60) days. The employment of long-term substitutes shall automatically expire at the end of the period of substitution or upon return to duty of the teacher from an approved leave of absence without any action by the Board or further notice to the teacher.
PRODUCT SUBSTITUTION In the event a specified manufacturer’s Product listed in the Contract becomes unavailable or cannot be supplied by the Contractor for any reason (except as provided for in the Savings/Force Majeure Clause) a Product deemed in writing by the Commissioner to be equal to or better than the specified Product must be substituted by the Contractor at no additional cost or expense to the Authorized User. Unless otherwise specified, any substitution of Product prior to the Commissioner’s written approval may be cause for cancellation of Contract.
Volunteer Firefighting Leave Leave without pay will be granted when an employee who is a volunteer firefighter is called to duty to respond to a fire, natural disaster or medical emergency.
Volunteer Agreement I understand that my services are donated to Mayo Clinic Health System without promise, expectation, or receipt of compensation or future employment. I also understand that volunteering should not be viewed as a means of obtaining permanent employment at Mayo Clinic Health System. I agree to comply with all policies and guidelines of Mayo Clinic Health System and its volunteer program. I attest that I have reviewed, understand, and have been provided the opportunity to ask questions about the material in this document.
Volunteer Leave Subject to operational requirements as determined by the Employer and with an advance notice of at least five (5) working days, the employee shall be granted, in each fiscal year, one (1) day of leave with pay to work as a volunteer for a charitable or community organization or activity, other than for activities related to the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign. The leave will be scheduled at times convenient both to the employee and the Employer. Under no circumstances shall there be carry-over of such leave to another fiscal year.
Volunteer A person who performs a service willingly and without pay.
Volunteer Payments You must not, except at your own cost, voluntarily make any payments, assume any obligations, or incur any other expenses except first aid to others at the time of bodily injury.
