Wage Treatment Sample Clauses

Wage Treatment a. Wage progression increases for employees who accept or receive jobs in accordance with Section 3. above, shall be based on the Wage Schedule applicable to the new job classification, and the progression on that schedule shall be determined by the employee’s wage length of service as follows: (1) If employees are assigned to vacancies where the current rate of pay of the employee’s regular job is below the rate for the appropriate wage step under the new schedule, the employee’s rate of pay shall be raised to the applicable rate.
Wage Treatment. (a) Employees affected by reduction in staff who assume a lower-paid job as a result of the foregoing, will assume the rate of the job. (b) Employees who are recalled will be given the rate of the job to which they have been recalled. (c) Employees who are recalled will be given a rate on rehire which is equivalent to the rate they would have received assuming they had not been laid off.
Wage TreatmentEmployees who transfer to a lower rated position through 18.01.2 (b) shall receive the same wage treatment as that provided under Article 8 – Layoff.

Wage TreatmentTransfers of regular employees between locations usually involve no change in the employee’s job classification, and the transfer provisions hereinafter stated are based on that assumption. In the case of transfers which involve a change in the employee’s job classification, the change in job classification shall be handled in accordance with the provisions of Article 18, Wage Administration. The wage rate which will be paid in the event of a transfer will be established as follows:
Wage Treatment. (a) In determining a candidate's qualifications for promotion within the bargaining unit, the Company will consider many factors including, but not limited to, seniority, attendance, job performance, technical skills and experience. If qualifications are substantially equal, the senior net credited service employee will be selected. The selection shall be subject to the procedures of Article 9 (Grievance) and of Article 10 (Arbitration). The decisions of the Company concerning whether qualifications of the candidates are substantially equal shall be controlling unless the Company is shown to have acted arbitrarily or in bad faith. (b) Employees who move within the CWA Operations Contracts and within the same wage table to another location where a different wage area is applicable shall have their Standard Rate adjusted to conform to the schedule in the new locality. (c) Employees who move to a wage schedule with fixed periodic steps: (1) Promotion - move from present Standard Rate to a whole step above the nearest step on the new schedule (2) Lateral - move from present Standard Rate to nearest step on new schedule insuring no loss in pay (3) Demotion - move from present Standard Rate to the nearest step on new schedule insuring no gain in pay (d) In no event shall an employee’s new Standard Rate be above the maximum rate of the new schedule.
Wage Treatment. (a) Where a position is downgraded as a result of the job evaluation system, the employee affected will have her wages frozen. The wages will not increase until the maximum rate for her new wage schedule exceeds her wage rate. At that point an employee will return to the wage schedule and may only receive increases to the maximum for her wage schedule. While an employee s wages are frozen, the Company may assign her to a vacant position equal to her frozen wage schedule without issuing a job posting. (b) Where a position is upgraded as a result of the job evaluation system, the employee affected will have her wages increased immediately.
Wage Treatment. The Company agrees to grant scheduled wage increases specified in their appropriate schedules in accordance with the time intervals and amounts provided in such schedules, subject to the following conditions: 1) Wage progression increases will be effective based on the service anniversary date for active, full time employees and based on date last given for part time employees after the employee has worked 1040 hours. 2) Wage increases will be effective the first day of the pay period closest to the effective date of the increase.
Wage Treatment. ‌ (i) RED-CIRCLE RATES It is agreed that where red-circle rates exist they will continue to exist while the employee is employed in that specific job classification and in addition will receive the negotiated wage increases. (ii) Any employee classified Group 5 or higher that is required to work as a Labourer will not receive less than Group 5 rate of pay.
