Common use of Wash-Up and Clean-Up Periods Clause in Contracts

Wash-Up and Clean-Up Periods. A five (5) minute paid wash-up period will be provided immediately prior to the end of the first half of each shift, while a five (5) minute paid clean-up period will be provided immediately prior to the end of the second half of each shift, unless overtime is scheduled. In case of overtime being worked, the clean-up period will be moved to five (5) minutes immediately prior to termination of such overtime. Regarding the five minute clean up at the end of a shift, any employee who's area is cleaned satisfactorily will be allowed the remaining time for personal wash up time.
