Common use of Weekly Indemnity Clause in Contracts

Weekly Indemnity. (a) Full-time and part-time employees regularly scheduled to work 20 hours or more per week shall participate in a weekly indemnity plan that will provide coverage on the first day of hospitalization or accident or the eighth calendar day of illness. (b) Coverage will continue for up to 17 weeks. The indemnity plan shall provide to qualifying employees 66.7% of the first $600 of weekly insurable earnings plus 50% of the balance with a maximum weekly benefit of $920. (c) The weekly indemnity plan for new employees will be effective on completion of the probation period.
