Common use of Where an employee is promoted Clause in Contracts

Where an employee is promoted. outside the bargaining unit, they shall undergo a trial period of six (6) months. During this period, the employee shall maintain and accumulate seniority in the event that they return to the bargaining unit; however, they shall not enjoy any benefit under the Agreement during the trial period. Before the end of the trial period, the employee may, if they so wishes, return to their former position, after giving the Employer a two (2) week notice in writing. The Employer may decide to return the employee to the same position by applying the same procedure.
