Willingness to Communicate (WTC in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) The ultimate objective of second language (hereafter L2) instruction is to stimulate students' motivation to accept opportunities to communicate (XxxXxxxxx, Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx, & Xxxxx, 1998). As a result, the failed effort to motivate students to communicate is regarded as a failure of the L2 learning program. Teachers, as facilitators, play a crucial role in creating practical learning settings for the purpose of assisting students in communicating. As a result, L2 learning in the context of willingness to communicate (WTC) is contextual learning. Furthermore, WTC is thought to be the consequence of a combination of individual psychological circumstances and situational factors (Xxxx, 2005). Teachers in this context are responsible for facilitating situation contextual elements such as developing group-work activities by considering team size, interlocutors, themes, and ethnic backgrounds in order to encourage students' WTC (Xxxx, 2005). Moreover, Xxxxxxxxxxx et al., in the Indonesian setting (2019) It was demonstrated that the teacher's reinforcement had an effect on students' WTC in terms of confidence, interpersonal, and intergroup motivation. In the classroom, the aforementioned components of communication are critical to assisting students in developing their communication skills and willingness to participate actively in communication. According to the Interaction Hypothesis, learners' communicative skill in L2 will improve as a result of conversational adjustment during conversation. Based on the preceding condition on students' WTC, the current study seeks to explore the WTC of EFL students, particularly in the instructional context, in order to learn more about the situations in which students are willing and unwilling to communicate. The results of the study should be beneficial in providing instructors with information or thoughts on the situation of their students' WTC, as well as the amount to which they are willing and unwilling to communicate. It is believed that instructors will profit from having such knowledge, and that they will continue to design circumstances that encourage students to interact, and assist in the development of solutions to avoid the existence of the variables that cause students to be hesitant to speak.
