Common use of With Standby Clause in Contracts

With Standby. The nurse will be placed on standby for a portion of the shift and will be given a scheduled time to report to work for a portion of the shift at the nurse’s straight-time hourly rate, and such time may be changed only once during a shift. If the nurse is called in from standby prior to the scheduled report time, the nurse shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 ½) his/her regular hourly rate for the greater of (a) the hours the nurse works until the time the nurse was scheduled to report; or (b) the contractual minimum number of hours for callback.
