Common use of WORK STOPPAGES Clause in Contracts

WORK STOPPAGES. The City and the Unions signatory to this Agreement agree that the public interest requires the efficient and uninterrupted performance of all City service, and to this end pledge their best efforts to avoid or eliminate any conduct contrary to this objective. During the term of this Agreement, the Unions and/or the employees covered by this Agreement shall not cause or engage in any work stoppage, strike, slow down or other interference with City functions. Employees covered by this Agreement who engage in any of the foregoing actions may be subject to such disciplinary actions as may be determined by the City.
