NO STRIKE PLEDGEThe Union agrees that during the life of this Agreement, its agents, or its members shall not authorize, instigate, aid, or engage in any work stoppage, slowdown, sick-out, refusal to work, picketing, or strike against the District. If, during the life of this Agreement, the employees, for whatever reason engage in the aforementioned provisions, the Union shall immediately publicly order the striking employees to discontinue such action through the local media. Failure of the Union to take such action shall be subject to enforcement by the ordinary process of law.
NO STRIKE PLEDGEThe Association and the Board recognize that strikes and other forms of work stoppage by teachers are contrary to law and public policy. The Association and the Board subscribe to the principle that differences shall be resolved by peaceful and appropriate means without interruption of the school program. The Association therefore agrees that its officers, representatives, and members shall not authorize, instigate, cause, aide, encourage, ratify or condone, nor shall any teacher take part in any strike, slowdown or stoppage of work, boycott, picketing or other interruption of activities in the school system. Failure or refusal on the part of any teacher to comply with any provision of this Article shall be cause for whatever disciplinary action is deemed necessary by the Board.
NO STRIKE PLEDGE. The Centers and the University and the Union agree that disputes which may arise between them during the term of this Agreement shall be settled without resort to strike or lockout and that the requirements of the law in this regard shall not be violated. The Centers agree that they will not lock out any or all employees and the Union agrees on behalf of itself and its membership that there shall be no strikes, slowdowns or interference with the normal operations of the Center, the College or the University.
NO STRIKE PLEDGEThe parties to this Agreement mutually recognize that the services performed by the employees covered by this Agreement are essential to the public health, safety, and welfare. Therefore, the Union agrees that during the term of this Agreement neither it nor its officers, representatives, members, or employees it represents shall, for any reason whatsoever, directly or indirectly, call, sanction, counsel, encourage, or engage in any strike, walkout, sympathy strike, picketing of the Employer's buildings, offices, or premises during regularly scheduled working hours, slowdown, sit-in, or stay-away; nor shall there be any concerted failure by them to report for duty; nor shall they absent themselves from work, abstain, in whole or in part, from the full, faithful and proper performance of their duties, or engage in any acts that interfere in any manner or to any degree with the services of the Employer. No employee covered by this Agreement shall refuse to cross any picket line, whether established at the Employer's buildings or premises or at any other location where employees covered by this Agreement are expected to work.

NO STRIKE PLEDGE. A. It is recognized that the need for continued and uninterrupted operation of the Township’s departments and agencies is of paramount importance to the citizens of this community, and that there should be no interference with such operation. B. The Union covenants and agrees that during the terms of this Agreement that neither the Union or any person acting on its behalf will cause, authorize or support, nor will any of its members take part in (i.e., concerted failure to report for duty, or willful absence of an Employee from their position or stoppage of work or abstinence in or in part, from the full and proper performance of the Employee’s duties of employment) work stoppage, slow-down or walkout against the Township. C. The Union agrees that it will do everything in its power to prevent its members from participating in any strike, work stoppage, slow-down or other activity aforementioned, including, but not limited to publicly disavowing such action and directing all such members who participate in such activities to cease and desist from same immediately and return to work, or such other steps as may be necessary under the circumstances, and to bring about compliance with its orders. D. In the event of a strike, slow-down or walkout, it is covenanted and agreed that participation in any such activity by the Union members shall entitle the Township to take appropriate disciplinary action including, but not limited to, discharge in accordance with applicable law. E. Nothing contained in this Agreement shall be construed to limit or restrict the Township in its rights to seek and obtain such judicial relief as may be entitled to have in law or in equity for injunction or damages, or both, in the event of such a breach by the Union or its members, except that, having met the expressed requirements of this ARTICLE, the Union shall in no way be held liable for any individual or concerted action taken by members of the bargaining unit.
NO STRIKE PLEDGEThe Union hereby affirms a policy that it does not assert the right to strike against the District nor will it assist in or participate in any such strike by the Employees, nor will it impose any obligation on said Employees to conduct, assist or participate in a strike against the District.
NO STRIKE PLEDGEThe Association agrees that it shall not instigate, engage in, support, encourage, or condone any strike, work slow-down, or disruption of College operations in contravention of the provisions of the IELRA. The Association also agrees that the no-strike pledge shall be followed regardless of the actions, requests, or demands, of any agency, organization, etc.
NO STRIKE PLEDGEThe Union agrees that during the term of this Agreement neither it nor its officers, representatives, members, or employees it represents shall, for any reason, whatsoever, directly or indirectly, call, sanction, counsel, encourage, or engage in any strike, walk-out, slow- down, sit-in, or stay-in; nor shall there by any concerted failure by them to report for duty. The Union shall not cause, authorize, sanction, or condone, nor shall any employee covered by this Agreement take part in, any picketing of the Employer's buildings, offices or premises, or in any picketing whatsoever to publicize a dispute with the Employer.
NO STRIKE PLEDGEThe Association and the District recognize and agree that strikes are not conducive to harmonious working relations and may be disruptive to the educational process and should not occur. The Association and the District subscribe to the principle that differences shall be resolved by peaceful and appropriate means without interruption of the District operations. The Association, therefore, agrees that there shall be no strikes or other concerted refusal to work, nor any instigation thereof, by the employees for the duration of this Contract. The Association further agrees not to honor, or to encourage employees in the bargaining unit to honor any strikes, picket lines, or other concerted work stoppages that may be established by any other District employee organization. The District agrees that, for the duration of this Contract, there shall be no employee lockout.
