Working during meal break. If the employer requires an employee to work through their normal meal break the employee will be paid at the rate of double time until the employee is allowed to take such a break. Where the meal break is shortened by agreement, the employer will pay for the period by which the meal break is shortened, which will then form part of ordinary time hours.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours Solicitation of Union membership or collection or checking of dues will not be conducted during working time. The Company agrees not to discriminate in any way against any employee for Union activity, but such activity shall not be carried on during working time, except as specifically allowed by the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Rejection During Probation ‌ (a) The Employer may reject any probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Clause 10.

  • Death During Active Service If the Executive dies while in the active service of the Company, the Company shall pay to the Executive's beneficiary the benefit described in this Section 3.1. This benefit shall be paid in lieu of the Lifetime Benefits of Article 2.

  • Refund During Cooling-Off Period The PEI will provide the Student with a cooling-off period of seven (7) working days after the date that the Contract has been signed by both parties. The Student will be refunded the highest percentage (stated in Schedule D) of the fees already paid if the Student submits a written notice of withdrawal to the PEI within the cooling-off period, regardless of whether the Student has started the course or not.

  • EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL 10.1 We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under this XXXX that is caused by any act or event beyond our reasonable control, including failure of public or private telecommunications networks (Event Outside Our Control). 10.2 If an Event Outside Our Control takes place that affects the performance of our obligations under this XXXX: (a) our obligations under this XXXX will be suspended and the time for performance of our obligations will be extended for the duration of the Event Outside Our Control; and (b) we will use our reasonable endeavours to find a solution by which our obligations under this XXXX may be performed despite the Event Outside Our Control.

  • Duty of Loyalty During Employment I agree that during the period of my employment by Company I will not, without Company’s express written consent, directly or indirectly engage in any employment or business activity which is directly or indirectly competitive with, or would otherwise conflict with, my employment by Company.

  • Outside Activities During Employment Except with the prior written consent of the Board, you will not during the term of your employment with the Company undertake or engage in any other employment, occupation or business enterprise, other than ones in which you are a passive investor.   • Communication during parental leave (a) Where an employee is on parental leave and a definite decision has been made to introduce significant change at the workplace, the employer shall take reasonable steps to: (i) make information available in relation to any significant effect the change will have on the status or responsibility level of the position the employee held before commencing parental leave; and (ii) provide an opportunity for the employee to discuss any significant effect the change will have on the status or responsibility level of the position the employee held before commencing parental leave. (b) The employee shall take reasonable steps to inform the employer about any significant matter that will affect the employee’s decision regarding the duration of parental leave to be taken, whether the employee intends to return to work and whether the employee intends to request to return to work on a part-time basis. (c) The employee shall also notify the employer of changes of address or other contact details which might affect the employer’s capacity to comply with (a) above.

  • Partial Disposal During Term of Service Agreement Throughout the Term of the Service Agreement, LEA may request partial disposal of Student Data obtained under the Service Agreement that is no longer needed. Partial disposal of data shall be subject to LEA’s request to transfer data to a separate account, pursuant to Article II, section 3, above.

  • Active Duty If an individual is inducted into military service, the District will abide by state law regarding veteran’s benefits.
