Working during meal break. If the employer requires an employee to work through their normal meal break the employee will be paid at the rate of double time until the employee is allowed to take such a break. Where the meal break is shortened by agreement, the employer will pay for the period by which the meal break is shortened, which will then form part of ordinary time hours.
