Common use of Written Notice to Owner of Delay Clause in Contracts

Written Notice to Owner of Delay. Where Contractor wishes to make Claim for an increase in the Contract Times (or Milestones) and/or amendment of the contract or contract price for additional cost of the Project due to a delay in the Work, written notice shall be prepared and delivered by the Contractor to the Owner within seven (7) days of the beginning of the delay and shall include a narrative of the cause of the delay, the effect of the delay on the progress of the work set forth on the CPM Schedule, the anticipated duration of the delay, and the estimated cost of the delay.
