Academic Career definition

Academic Career means a period of thirty-five (35) cumulative years for Members who hold the rank of Professor or Professional Librarian IV, or twenty-five (25) cumulative years for Members who hold the rank of Associate Professor or Professional Librarian III, or ten (10) years for Members who hold the rank of Assistant Professor or Professional Librarian II. The maximum number of academic career years as defined here does not preclude an individual from spending more or fewer years as a Faculty Member/Professional Librarian.
Academic Career means the maximum period during which a Faculty Member/Professional Librarian is eligible to be awarded an Article 21.06, Schedule A career progress increment that has a monetary value greater than zero. The maximum length of this period shall be: 2.02.1 thirty-five (35) cumulative years for Members who hold the rank of Professor or Professional Librarian IV; or 2.02.2 twenty-five (25) cumulative years for Members who hold the rank of Associate Professor or Professional Librarian III; or
Academic Career means the sum total of all academic work undertaken by a student that is grouped into a single student record.

  • A Course Scheduling Audit Committee, consisting of equal representation from the Union and Administration, shall be established to review annually Department practices in the scheduling of courses, with the purpose of formulating recommendations to the College President designed to increase student enrollment, minimize the number of under- enrolled course sections, and maximize the efficient use of the human and physical resources of the Academic, Career, and Student Services Areas of the College.

Academic Career means through the completion of a student’s Student’s currently enrolled academic program (including certificate or non-degree seeking status).

The maximum number of academic career years as defined here does not preclude an individual from spending more or fewer years as a Faculty Member/Professional Librarian.

The maximum length of this period shall be: 2.02.1 thirty-five (35) cumulative years for Members who hold the rank of Professor or Professional Librarian IV; or 2.02.2 twenty-five (25) cumulative years for Members who hold the rank of Associate Professor or Professional Librarian III; or 2.02.3 ten (10) years for Members who hold the rank of Assistant Professor or Professional Librarian II. The maximum number of Academic Career Years as defined here does not preclude an individual from spending more or fewer years as a Faculty Member/Professional Librarian at any rank. Further, Part Time Members and Members with less than full-load service in a Contract Year accrue Academic Career Years at the rate of their service.
